Tomorrow morning…. walk into your boss’ office with a BIG smile on your face.  Tell him/her you’ve been with the firm for 10 years, maybe it’s more like 25 years and you need a long-term residual income from all your hard work and full-time commitment for all those years.

Unless he/she is your spouse, it’s not likely to happen, right?  You worked and you got paid, so what more do you expect?  Unless you’ve been working for the Government, City Fathers, maybe the power company… don’t let the door hit your backside when you depart.   Not sure about the financial guru’s anymore with all that stimulus money.

Anyway, you get the picture and it’s not very good.  Maybe that’s the reason the majority of retirees are broke at 65 years of age.  Many are continuing to work into their 70’s and 80’s today for income survival.

10 years working diligently in the network marketing arena is a different story.  Building a home based business has residual income streams long into your retirement years without much effort on your part.  Pass it on to your heirs, siblings, children or your church.

Wherever you are today, it makes sense to have more than one [1] income stream to support your lifestyle.  It gives you income security should you lose any one of your financial resources.  Most entrepreneurs know this in their business and have multiple sources of revenue.

Never think someone else is going to support you, your family, friends or neighbors.  If it’s to be…. it’s up to you.

Do YOU agree?  “Broke” is the KEY word.  By the time you pay for a good  car, gas, upkeep, parking, lunch, nice clothes and all the rest…. what does your “job” provide for you and your family?

Sorry, I left out FICA and income tax charges by Government Agencies, but what’s your net?  If you can’t take it home, who cares?  Somebody in the family has to bring CASH home to pay your bills.

Usually, we’re looking at a net paycheck about 40% less than gross, right?  Another thing we left out of the equation was the 30, 60, or 90 minutes FREE time gift you make to your employer just getting to work.  Almost forgot, getting back home is another 30, 60, or 90 minutes “lost” time.

Sure, the owner of a brick and mortar store has to get there too.  Somebody has to open the doors so customers can come inside.  However, the owner is also responsible for the rent, fire and property insurance, employee payroll, employer taxes, benefits, etc.  It’s a bottomless pit the owner faces hoping to make a profit to survive.

[sidebar: 9 out of 10 businesses FAIL within 5-10 years, many within the first 6 months or less.  Why?  Lack of capital, know-how, commitment, etc]

Did you notice?  Nothing has been said about the tens of thousands of dollars most business owners pay for a franchise, the building, recruiting employees, legal and accounting professionals, etc.  Truth is…. it’s really overwhelming, especially in today’s economy.

Owning your own home based business makes sense today.  Yes, it too has a few challenges but nothing compares to the “other” guys.  A major plus in the home business or network marketing arena is TIME.  While most of the  “employees”" are going downtown or 30 minutes plus from home you’re already doing business.  Most of us are less than 60 seconds from the bed to the office located in our home.

Ask a few “what if’s” for comparison.  Look at available franchises in your territory.  Consider buying a “going” business from a “willing” seller?  How much is it worth?  Hidden problems?  Security?  Payroll?

Decisions, decisions, decisions.  Something to think about.

You’ve heard it before and probably let it go.  Maybe you took the time to question the details, however, binary, 2 legs, a 3×9 matrix or whatever comes along next is usually over our heads.

Most of us want to see the $$ and let someone else worry about the details as long as we see our residual income growing.  Is that YOU?  When you get a nice residual income stream every day, week, or month it’s not important to understand more.

Anyhow….. let’s decipher the 3×9 matrix.  In simplest terms it means that YOU get 3 friends, neighbors, or family members to sign up as your team members and each one of them agrees to get 3 team members signed up on their own team….. continuing into infinity.

Unfortunately, too many recruits will NEVER tell anyone about their new business for fear of rejection.  Selling is one of the highest paid professions because it takes belief, energy, communication skills, and simply knowing that everyone is not going to be your client or customer.

Reality for the new recruit is very simple if they’re willing to invest a little time and money along with taking ACTION.  Success can be achieved in a few days, a week or two, sometimes a month for the willing person who needs a job, an income stream, or feels empowered to make it happen.

Remember, YOU joined with enthusiasm because a friend or family  member suggested the program as a good investment or source of income.  What you may not know is that he/she got rejected by others too.  It’s just part of the way life happens for all of us.

Everyone has a bad day or lives in fear that someone is trying to take advantage of them or their family.  You can’t help that, just say “thanks” and move on to your next potential recruit who may say YES.

Don’t come on board if you’re a quitter or non-believer in others.  You’ll never be successful with doubt and fear driving your every move.  Sure, all of us have taken a chance, bought into a bad deal, lost a few bills due to a dishonest co-hort…. let it go.  We call that living life.

Yes, there’s usually an investment that someone has to make before most things become a reality.  Useful in saving lives or making things work better in the marketplace.  Profit drives the system.
